Abstract
The exponential growth of technology, especially in the field of the household sector, accompanying the newest form of traditional social capital, necessitates a systematic evaluation of its intellectual structure and emerging trends, studies as well. This bibliometric study aims to analyse keyword trends over time (1985-2025) and identify major research themes within the field of social capital and household finance. The absence of a bibliometric study linking the areas of social capital and household finance makes this study relevant. The study mainly relied on the Scopus database within a framework of 1985-2025, and keyword occurrence and trend analysis were performed using Biblioshiny (bibliometric). The results revealed that “influence of online social capital on household finance” is an emerging field, but this field is understudied. The thematic map identified four major research themes- Social Capital and Credit Access, Social Capital and Intra-household Decisions, Behavioural Household Finance and Online Social Capital and Household Finance.
